HIPAA & TRUST
HIPAA-compliant (but that's just the starting line)
How Novelcare keeps your patients and practice safe
1-MINUTE SUMMARY
We do only one thing with your PHI: help you find suitable studies for your patients
We sign a highly restrictive Business Associate Agreement (BAA) that forbids us from selling, licensing, training AI models, or marketing with your PHI
Our security controls are above and beyond what HIPAA requires
Our founders' background building data tools for intelligence agencies, pharmaceutical companies, and national health systems drives constant attention, care, and improvement to our security posture
OUR PHILOSOPHY
OUR GUARANTEES
A letter from our CEO:
At Novelcare, we believe that trust is built through alignment, thoughtful design, clear boundaries, and shared purpose.
When we partner with physicians and healthcare organizations, we’re entrusted with something deeply personal: data that represents people’s lives. That’s not a responsibility we take lightly. It’s why we’ve built our entire model, including our technology, operations, and contracts, to protect that trust.
Every provider we work with signs a purpose-built Business Associate Agreement (BAA). It allows us to use patient health information (PHI) only to identify clinical trial opportunities for their patients. Nothing more.
· We do not sell PHI
· We do not use PHI for marketing
· We do not license PHI or train models on it
This clarity matters. It gives physicians confidence to refer. And it ensures that patients hear about clinical trials from someone they already trust.
My cofounder and I spent years designing secure data systems for public institutions like the NIH and NHS. That experience taught us something simple but essential: protecting data is about more than compliance. It’s about protecting people.
We carry that philosophy into everything we do at Novelcare. It shapes how we build tools that earn trust and support the vital work of care teams and researchers.
We’re grateful for the chance to work alongside you, and to help more patients access the care and clinical trial options they deserve.
